It goes back and left and back and down (3 connections total). The coolant temperature sensor is on the back of the engine below the left branch of the connector. There is an elbow attached to the engine that curves up. The temp sensor fits in the top of the elbow and is held in place with a C-clip.
This seems to high to me and I would suspect that the coolant temp should remain in the range that the thermostat opens and closes. To complicate things even more ive checked coolant temp with a snap on scanner and the readings do not match up with instrument cluster readings. Sometimes scanner reading up to 117 degrees.
I did notice that on Rock Auto it seems like there are three sensors for this vehicle for the cooling system. One is located on the thermostat housing, other is on the radiator and in the rear of the head below the intake manifold. It’s confusing because Rock Auto says they are all coolant temperature sensors. Was this.
