Ultra Details @ 1440p. We continue climbing the resolution ladder, and our next benchmark is run at 2560x1440: Image 1 of 4. All three high-end graphics cards maintain a minimum of 30 FPS at this
Minimum settings 1080p, 30 FPS, DirectX ray tracing turned off. CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 1200 at 3.1 GHz, Intel i5-4460 at 3.2 GHz, or equivalent; GPU: AMD RX 460 with 4 GB VRAM, NVIDIA GTX 960 with 4 GB
The 730GT is a pretty low end card. Low settings may be possible but they're aren't many reviews for Far Cry 4 at this time. The lowest GPU I would buy is the r7 260 or the 750 GTX. An i5 would be great. Look to save about $600-700 (with OS) for a good entry level PC. If that's too high, you can always drop the i5 for an i3.
Included are the latest performance optimizations and tweaks for Far Cry 4, and a SLI profile that scales at over 90% on the system used in this guide. Download from GeForce.com or via GeForce Experience once the drivers are released.
The first graphics card launch of 2019 is NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 2060, a 6GB Turing GPU that retains the Tensor and RT cores of the higher-end models. At $349, the RTX 2060 targets high-FPS 1080p and 60 FPS 1440p – and yes, it offers enough juice to power Battlefield V ‘s DXR ray tracing feature. It’s hard to pick out which card of the
Optimizing the In-Game Settings. This is the most important step that will have the most impact on the game’s performance. First of all, Start the game and Open its Graphics Settings. 1) Change the Display Resolution to 720p (1280×720) or 768p (1366×768). The lower the resolution, the higher will be the FPS.
For me, the most taxing settings seem to be shadows and textures. I run everything Ultra except for shadows and get 65-95 fps with Ryzen 1700x, 16Gb 3200Mhz DDR4, and an 8Gb RX 580. The game is on a Samsung 960 EVO NVME drive. With shadows on ultra, I get 55-90ish fps.
Second: Set NVIDIA predefined FXAA usage to Disallowed 0x00000000. FXAA will only blur and mess up other AA, I always disallow just to be sure. Third: Set Antialising Mode to 0x00000001 Override any application setting. Now comes the part that depends on your system, and your preferences.
If it is really messed up then go to Nvidia control panel. Go to Manage 3d settings. Find Far Cry 4 in the list. Now find the "preferred graphics processor" on the list and set it to your 720m. It should be selected by default in the global settings, but maybe you changed it for some reason. 1.
