So I just bought the game and when I can't assign any buttons with my PS4. When I get in the game, I can't do anything. For some reason I can assign some controls on the steering wheel input menu, but when I go in the game the steering is really fast and it accelerates all the way the instant I press R2.

Assetto Corsa have a great system for Mouse Steering users that you'll not find in ANY other simulator, that the Keyboard user have a -35% throttle when the car is about to spin, to make it smoother because the key input is 1-0-1-0-1-0 so if you tap the key you're using 100% throttle, instead of that you're using 65% until the tyre of the car
My PC-PSVR setup I use for war thunder and elite dangerous. TrinusPSVR is now working great and I have now put wayyy more hours into psvr on pc than using my PS4. Was disappointed that eve only supported the HOTAS 4 and not the HOTAS X like I have. But I'm having a blast playing elite dangerous. 71.

This happens to me when I accidentally unplug my controller while playing. I'm using a PS4 controller via DS4windows and I plug directly into the computer via the USB cable.

If I needed to make adjustments to the Steam Controller config, I had to bring up the Start Menu to launch Steam in Big Picture mode while the game was running, and alt+tab between the two. Tips: Make sure to combine the Gamepad with the Keyboard+Mouse bindings in the advanced tab of the Gamepad configuration area.
Go steam > settings > controller > general controller settings > check off xbox controller config support and xbox ext. Feature support. In game just load up the xbox controller prefab settings and save. You'll be able to use the controller in game but not to navigate menus.
